Anyway to run phpbb offline ?

Is there anyway I can run phpbb offline ? Like you can run JSP using Apache Tomcat , ASP using IIS . Is there something like this that can run phpbb offline ? Actually what I want is to create a custom theme of phpbb , so I was thinking is there any way to do that offline and test the theme and its appearnace offline .

Can you please be a little detailed . Sorry , but I have no idea about this ? You mean only WAMP is needed ? By the way , is it a free software ? And what would be the system req for it to run smoothly ?

I installed the wamp server in Windows 2000 . But the problem is when I start the server and type in http://localhost in my browser and hit enter , sometimes the Wamp Server page comes up and sometimes it doesn't . What could be the cause of this ?

Use 127.0.0.1 instead. That should help.

EDIT : Its working fine now . Just had to open the localhost from the WAMP server , it's only then that it works . Thank you guys , all of you , for helping me out !

I wanted to do this so that I could test out mods offline and do some experimenting with phpbb ...lol...

Actually I wanted to develop some skins and test them out .
