Small Forum Review

First Impressions

I visited your forum for the first time and it looks rather plain. The layout of the theme is unique and pretty, however it is a bit too generic. Your forum is about application talk judging from the name, but the area for discussions related to applications is a bit too small that I feel it is not very inviting as you don't have much to offer to talk to. Area for developer is quite a good idea; it may help to invite more members later on in the future although it lacks content at the moment.

Appearance

App-Talk appearance, as mentioned briefly above, is a little bit too standard for a technology forum. The theme has a basic combination of blue and white (and red sometimes), a combination which has been used a lot in other forums. To be unique you may want to at least change the colors a bit, customize it, or search for another theme. The banner is done pretty good to match the forum's theme; when it is changed you will need to change it too. Images you used on the forums are still standard ones and you don't have a favicon yet. With more customization coming, this should be added to your to-do list as well to keep your site different.

Ratios and Statistics

It has only been around a week since the opening. 124 posts and 15 members are not bad numbers for a new forum; obviously you will have to work hard on it over time by adding content. No problem for staff members ratio since you are the sole staff member. You will not need help for moderation; for administration it depends on what you want to do to the site. Board forums related to applications are too few. Explore the niche more, for example making forums based on gadget type. Give areas to talk to, and put content to it. Developers area can be merged for now since you will not know how big interest in that area would be. You can always expand later.

Content

Because you don't have many areas related to applications, the content is now very limited. Developers section is not yet active, so the community relies on the general technology discussion at the second category. You need to give something different to the site; a lot of other sites also offer a forum to talk about technology, how your site is any different in this is what you need to work on. More technology, applications-related news and info must be added, not merely general technology discussions.

Post wise, grammatically I don't spot any grave mistakes with them. Small mistakes about usage of capital letters or full stops and such are quite common; try to fix it over time but the content itself is good enough. You have privacy policy stated board wide too, that is a good idea.

One additional note is if you can fix how your site is seen in browser's tabs. In my Firefox your site's name in the tab is "app-talk.co.uk - app-talk.co.uk". Your forum has a name and slogan, don't be shy to put it there.

Final Remarks

There are various sites talking about technology in each their own uniqueness. There are also many sites, for example general discussion sites, which offer a forum or section to talk about technology and application. Given the way your forum currently is, you are very general that it will not be very inviting for members to join as they can do it somewhere else. Unless you can explore and offer something special at your site, you will have a hard time. You are still new so there are a lot of things you can do and try with the forum, good luck with it and keep on experimenting.
