Apple Computers and Games

Hey,

I had a simple question someone might be able to asnwer.

Can people play games on apple computers?
By Games I mean ones that are sold at Gamestop like max payne, and COD, and stuff like that.

i remember years ago a friend of mine played the first modern warfare on his apple laptop.

I am curios to know if they can play new game releases or do the games have to be made specifically for them?

If it's a PC game you can install Windows on your Mac and play it that way... Lately however, some games are being released in both PC and Mac flavors.

Valve's Steam Marketplace is available for Mac, and they sell games for PC and Mac.

You can also install Bootcamp on a Mac to install Windows 7 to use Windows software on a Mac.

I wasn't aware that steam can be installed on apple computers.

I do know many people install windows on their machines to be able to do certain things, but i didn't know you can install games onto those windows installations.

Yes we can play these games. But for this we need to install software.

It is also possible to use Parallels Virtual Machine for Mac with Windows 7 according to this article http://gigaom.com/apple/tested-windows- ... rallels-7/ , but it is not as fast as bootcamp, so it is not as good for more intensive games like Crysis 2.
