Let me start this off by saying that I am a huge fan of Apple products. I am a fan of iPhones. And I am a fan of tablets. But here is the question that I want to debate; is there a point of having an iPad and an iPhone?

Having played around with both, with some minor exceptions, they have a lot of the same features and functionality. I feel like if I owned both devices, I would definitely favor one over the other. But maybe that is just me, what do you think?

Yes, they are two completely different things, I had thought the same thing 3 years ago. That was before I followed Apple like a book. I bought an iPad, and my god, they are two different things.

However, if you want to ask this question, Apple did recharge and reinnovate the tablet market, Android powered devices are so differentiated...like your phablets, 4"+ plus phones, and a wide range of tablet sizes they could be target with this as well.

I would personally say that you're better of going with a Android device which has a 5-6 inch screen and you could get an all in one.

I would like to see Apple finally do something a little different and make a larger phone.

Sure there is a point. I have an iPhone and I've played around with the iPad. I wish I had both. The iPad offers a bigger screen for reading and playing games, plus I'm a huge fan of books so reading them on the ipad is better than my phone. Mainly I'd use it for games, reading, e-mail etc. Plus the keys on the keyboard are much bigger so my big a** fingers don't misspell stuff as easily.

An iPhone can be used to make calls, and text. It is also more convenient for reading small amount of information like the weather, time, dictionary definition. You can also use the iPhone with one hand.

The iPad has a higher resolution screen which is bigger which is better for games, magazines, books, maps, and video.

The iPad can also be used as a laptop when you connect it to a Bluetooth Keyboard, and put the iPad on a stand.

Yeah. My professor makes us use the iPad for cross compatibility and to work on our games away from the computer.

-- 03 Sep 2013, 21:55 --

Yeah. My professor makes us use the iPad for cross compatibility and to work on our games away from the computer.

Yeah. My professor makes us use the iPad for cross compatibility and to work on our games away from the computer.

Is your game available on the iOS App store, or Google Play for people to download and play?

What type of games are you making?

iPad: larger screen
iPhone: fits in your pocket
Features: exactly the same. Besides screen size there is not one single difference.

I disagree - As the iPad is a tablet, the specs are different internally.

You're saying this which is like saying that "All laptops are the same, even though some have bigger screens".

The iPad tend to pack more power into its CPU/GPU.

Oh, and the battery life is phenomenal.

No because its against school technology policy but we can make games on our private computer to submit. Lots of simulation games

I can watch the same movies, play the same games, Etc on my iPhone than I can on the iPad.

Internal features don't make any noticeable difference.

Or a more original phone, rather than the kind of same model each time and the same name..

And I don't really see the point to be honest, I don't really like apple anyway. And I don't really like tablet's at all..

This is why I choose Apple.
Their products look clean on the outside and inside (software stuff).
Their products have never died on me. The only time Apple products haven't functioned is when I've either smashed them accidently, or gotten them soaked in water.
Their products work flawlessly with each other. It's so easy to stay synced.

For me, I just see no reason to get an Android device. Why switch to Android when Apple products provide everything I need?
Maybe in the future I'll check out an Android, but I don't plan on getting a new phone for a couple years.
