Weeks before an iPhone 5S will likely be available at Apple Stores, lines have already been spotted, with some fans willing to go the distance, no matter what. MORE

I love the comments going on on this article

What's your opinion on these goose's lining up for a phone which hasn't yet been announced?

To each his own. If they can afford the camping, I say let em do it. I'll just wait for a few years when the 5S comes to Straight Talk and get it then. ^_^

Just crazy that they're waiting for a phone which hasn't been released! Is what Apple fans seem to do though, have they ever heard of pre-ordering?

Good for them.

I envy them for their dedication. Or perhaps they just want media attention. Which I'm sure of.

And to those comments...A fingerprint scanner isn't enough? What do they want it to do? Go to work for them and do their freggin job? Or, print them money?

-- Sun Sep 08, 2013 4:03 pm --

Android fans haven't either. It's called NO INTEREST!

I wonder what they're doing about their jobs during these weeks that they're camping outside an Apple store. I mean, they surely have one if they can afford to buy a new iPhone as soon as soon as it comes out.

iPhone announcement on the 10th

Apple announced late last week they would be having their iPhone announcement on the 10th.

What do you hope to see in the new iPhone? Will you be getting it?

Re: iPhone announcement on the 10th

No I won't be getting it, I don't really like iPhones. I much prefer Windows Phones. 😉

How about some innovation.

Bigger Screen
More Power
After seeing the Galaxy S4, a much better camera
Better Battery (my father spends more time charging his iPhone than using it)
Cheaper iPhones (they're not worth what Apple sells them for)
Half Decent Flash
Make it more resistant to drops
Better Network Connectivity
Better Quality Screen
Better Keyboard (seen some people complaining about it online)

Those are some of the things I want. If Apple can do some of these I might even consider buying an iPhone 5S, but I doubt it's going to be different than the iPhone 5, considering we're on an S year (I can't think of many other companies which take a break and push out a phone with minor changes every second year).

Re: iPhone announcement on the 10th

I've been holding off on upgrading my 3GS because I want a newer one. I may not get the 5S, but the 5 at a cheaper price would be great.

Re: iPhone announcement on the 10th

To be honest I don't care much for the iPhone 5S, we already have it on the market from what the rumours are pointing to. I'm more interested in seeing what Apple does with the iPhone 5C!

So...we already have a fingerprint scanner on the market?

Aye Aye Aye! I do not want to start it again, but

The iPhone 5 is more resistant to drops then the S4, the iPhone's battery is as good as the S4, if not better, flash is decent enough, don't need dual, we do noyt want to look like a freak with our giant phones next to our faces, the screen size is good. And better quality screens? Really?

The S4 is plastic, it should be more resistant compared to something which is metal.

Apple could at least make a range. Look at Samsung, they don't release a phone once a year, they release multiple which are all uniquely different allowing someone to buy something they want, not something which Apple is trying to fit for everyone. And I put the S4 and the iPhone 5 next to each other and the screen on the S4 looked quite a bit better and the colours were quite a bit more vibrant, probably because it's a 1080p display.

Other phones have already had them and they failed quite badly. Apple could at least release a few phones, one without it (well I guess that's the iPhone 5 if the iPhone 5S is just going to have a fingerprint scanner).

You're talking about I'm guessing a population consisting of scarves, blocky glasses with no lenses, a cup of starbucks in their hand, and their only occupation is blogging conceptual art. (Talking about the radicals camping weeks before a release date is set.)

Re: iPhone announcement on the 10th

I am wayyyyy to poor to afford it but I cannot wait for ios 7!!!!!

Re: iPhone announcement on the 10th

What's Apple going to do when they run out of letters from the alphabet to add on the end of the phone's number? 😛

Re: Lines forming at Apple Stores in advance of iPhone launc

I think there's nothing wrong with waiting in line for days for a new iPhone since everyone has different hobbies, and some of these people might be doing their job since the internet created a lot of new jobs like tech blogger, online video tech blogger, eBay seller, and Craigslist sellers which depend on new product launchs like the iPhone to increase their revenue instead of only selling and talking about older products.

I bet a large amount of these people waiting in line will try to sell their new iPhone on eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon for hundreds more than the retail price.

Some of the people wating in line maybe amateur tech bloggers who can't get review units of the new iPhone before launch because their tech blog has no traffic, and too few subscribers, so Apple and cell phone companies ignore their request for borrowing an iPhone to review it on their site.

Hackers and App Developers might want to get the new iPhone as quickly as possible to jailbreak it, make regular apps, and Jail brocken apps optimize for the new iPhone.

I also read there are now people who get hired to wait in-line because the owner of the phone does not have time to wait in-line.
