Do you have an arcade on your site? What plugin/script do you use, if so? How much use does it get?

Thinking about adding one to MyBB forum but the plugin I currently have installed (MySupport) is not working.

I used to have one back when my forum was hosted on Forumotion, but I can't add one to my forum right now as IcyBoards has no intention of adding in the MyArcade plugin and users can't install their own plugins

I've never personally played any games on any forums (outside from the forum games that is). Would it be games like snake or tetris? I remember back in the day I used to play games to get points because I was to be able to redeem the point for real prizes.

We use Game Section for MyBB. Like I said in another thread, the members don't really play the games often, but they're good distractions.

I only occasionally play games on an arcade. They can be fun but I prefer posting around than playing games actually, haha. I think it's a nice addition but may not something worth investing for. Except the community really likes the games and it becomes vital point in the community.

I never really saw the point in them, to be honest. I'm just not really a big fan of implementing things that distract people from the forum. A lot of times the games that come with the arcade are kind of lame too, and really are only useful once you've depleted your steam library (which we all know will never happen 😛).

I think arcades are more beneficial for role play forums. There are times where you are waiting for someone else to reply, and rather then leaving the forum to do something else, you can just kill time and play games.

I only like these on general discussion forums. I don't really see a need on other forums.

I do have an arcade on my forum but it is only for staff, sponsors and VIPs. I don't mind having one but the thing is the games aren't that great so it probably won't attract many people to play it. It would be much better if you are able to add better games from big gaming websites like Miniclip or Kongregate. I use the Phpbb arcade modification but I can't remember which one.

I never got the idea of having an arcade on my forum, it just never made sense for me. I mean, I would just go to a website with all the games rather than implementing it onto a forum.
