My archive disk is getting full again mostly with pictures and videos. It is getting to be a habit to take pictures and videos on occasions and sometimes even when there is no occasion to speak of. My 1 terabyte is not enough so I bought a hard disk with 2 terabyte in capacity. After a year, only 1/4 of the capacity is left, that's 500 gigabytes which means I have used 1.5 terabyte of space already. The archive disk is a pretty big issue because the files just keep on growing. I wonder if I would be needing 2 hard disks for archiving in the near future.

Why not consider an NAS? There are allot on the market and most can take 8TB and it has it's own built in hardware so that you can transfer data from your router.
