Are Admins Scared to Ban?

One person I banned only joned because it was the only way he could contact my partner.

He only came online if my partner was online.

Never made any contributions to the forum ( post wise).

In the shoutbox he kept asking if XXX would be online.

People got so fed up with him in the end.

Lol, probably a perv.

For me, if annoy me or any member on my forum 3 times, they are banned for 1 day. 3 more times, 7 days. Three more times. IT'S PERMA BAN TIME!

Not scared here, I'm the main ban-ner on my site and don't hesitate to get out that hammer and send them on the Banbus if they've exhausted their three strikes or done one of the Unforgiveables.

All of which are outlined in our rules, so that they have no leg to stand on to contest the ban and try to make us look bad. {Not that they won't try anyway.} I find it helps immensely to plan your rules out simply yet thoroughly to cover all banworthy sins beforehand. Anything you would absolutely not tolerate. That makes a lot of situations that seem to call for a ban much more clearcut.

Also think of it this way: It will harm your site a LOT more if you allow someone banworthy to remain.
