Can an All-In-One computer with a monitor attached to it do most basic tasks like Microsoft Office, Multimedia, Photoshop, and possibly, casual gaming?

I like that they let you pick your own keyboard and mouse unlike a laptop, but it is still pretty portable for small rooms like a laptop, but the All-In-One monitor is bigger then a laptop monitor size.

The sound quality might be better as well.

Seeing as speakwhatsreal doesn't even say anything relevant to what the thread was made for, I will actually answer.

Yes, something like that would be suitable for your needs. I have an HP Pavilion that can have casual (if not a bit better than that) gaming with photoshop, and everything else you can imagine. It was only $500-$600 which is a suitable range for something like it that you want to last for quite a while.

WHOA partner! He/she posted a video about a ALL IN ONE PC and I commented because it looks sexy? no need to start fights.. My post is 100% ontopic. If you think that was offtopic then you should report my post, not try to start fights

I have an HP Touchsmart 300 series all-in-one PC and it can handle casual to decent gaming and photoshop no problem. I paid a little over a grand for it though about 2 or so years ago. You can probably get one cheaper now though. I truly think all-in-ones are gonna become the standard in a few years.

Basically a laptop lol. I can't see myself ever owning one, simply as they do not have the portability of a laptop while are also limited in what you can do with them, unlike a full blown PC that allows you to maintain it and do whatever with it.

I hope you know an all in one pc has a monitor built in. It is more like a monitor with computer components in it lol.

Indeed, I know it is a computer with a built-in monitor. I mention in my last post " All-In-One computer with a monitor attached/built-in to it."

Cloud Gaming Apps like Onlive can run good for All-In-One PC since Onlive gaming App run good on very cheap and slow Netbooks as long as you have a faster internet connection.

I heard you can upgrade the RAM, hard drive, and possibly the CPU on some All-In-Ones.

Re: Are All-In-One Computers with monitors good for most thi

I'm not a fan of all in ones. I actually like to build my own computers with my own hardware installed so I actually know whats in my system as well as how to fix any problems. This all-in-one is not bad at all.

Well sure, and I can also upgrade components on my laptop if I so desire, however unlike a PC its packed in there in such a way that can make such operations rather risky. There are some makers out there that do strive for convenience with such machines but my experience with for example Dell has been that they do everything in their power to force you to buy a new laptop instead of upgrading parts 😛.

Uhmm as a Computer Tech I find Dell the easiest to upgrade <.< .. It is sony(well their laptops) that are a pain to upgrade or even work on in general....
