I found it easier to install Adsense codes in phpBB2 compared to phpBB3 because the tutorial I found on installing ads on phpBB2 is written better.
Are some forums software easier to install Adsense codes?

There all the same, just c/p the code in the right spot or use a plugin.

Indeed, they all are about the same. It has more to do with the quality of the tutorial people write for installing adsense codes on a forum.
I notice all I have to do is copy and paste the code or install a plug-in/MOD like you said.

I think if we are discussing if it is harder or easier, I think it should be determined by the difficulty of styling. The adsense code is easy to put into your code and making it work, but knowing where to put it in and aesthetically designing it is much harder.

IPB 3.1 has an ad code integration feature put in by default. You can put it on the sidebar, after the first post, in the portal, there's a whole lot of opportunities.
However, if you know how to edit themes, you can easily put Google Ads wherever you want.

I wish phpBB2-3 also have a insert adsense code into the styles like vB and IPB since it would of saved me a lot of time which I used to search and read tutorials on adsense setup for phpBB.
