After almost two years owning a general chat forum and covering almost every topic imaginable for our forum categories, some days I find it very difficult to come up with fresh discussions that spark member interest.

I'd just like some suggestions on how you handle the writers block syndrome for your own forum so you can break through and get back to posting high quality content for your own forum.

I typically know what to post on my forums or blogs as there is so much to cover topic wise and my members help produce a lot of content.

For you, I feel you should cover latest news and happenings across the world. That can always get you some discussion topics to post daily.

I've run my forum for over 3 years now and I've felt that way too. Some days I just don't feel like posting anything. (So instead I might go back through older topics I've made that haven't really gotten any attention and just bump them.)

Other times I'll just push through the feeling and post anyway because I could always use the activity. My posts might not be the most amazing ever if I'm not feeling particularly interested that day, but it's still something and they still get replies so that's good.

I feel this way some days, but I keep going regardless. I have to, if I can't post new content, then eventually my sites will die out. And so will everyone else's.

Seen too many sites fall to admin inactivity to let even writer's block stand in my way!

I dont concern myself with starting topics that members want to talk about because I am an admin, not a mind reader. If there is a topic that my members want to talk about then there isn't anything keeping them from starting that topic themselves.

As for me, I dont worry about running out of ideas for topics because I am myself on the forum. What this means is that i post whatever thought that pops into my head.. I dont care what it is. Unless it is too personal, any thought that pops into my head is what I will post.

I have even started a thread with pictures of different meat grinders because several members on my forum had expressed a preference of sticking various body parts into one if given the choice between it and using an iDevice or a Facebook phone.

I noticed this disturbing trend, and so, being the awesome admin and person I am, I decided to start a fetish thread featuring various meat grinders, each representing a different fetish, to help these poor souls take the edge off. The most hilarious thing of all was that there were a lot of guests who actually thought there'd be porn..

I had even started a thread about religious popcorn, because there was a Bible Scripture (John 3:16) written on the back of a bag of cheese popcorn that I was eating.

More often than not, my members respond and they will do the same thing.
