Are there still any paid to post forums?

Someone enlighten me: How do paid-to-post forums actually work in terms of someone having the funds to pay multitudes of people? Is the owner wealthy, or do they have many monetization techniques?
I am a staff on a paid to post forum, the owner pays from his pocket, but he also offer posting services for forum owners and make some money from the service.

Owners of these forums must be rich.

I think you'd be better of joining a forum about a topic you enjoy, posting a bunch of high quality topics and posts that get a lot of engagement and then DMing the admin and offering your posting services. You can show them proof you deserve to be paid by the content you posted.

After owning Index Forum for a little while, I feel pretty confident saying that almost all paid posting forum owners are hemorrhaging money. BeerMoneyForum is the only exception that comes to mind.

I own Discussion Bucks and I can tell you that if I didn't do other stuff like database work, add-ons, ect. it would be more out of pocket for me. Now, I have had months that ads and some other DB stuff has paid for the month's bills.

With my brother's issues he has had, it has been tough to get the extras done to help pay for things. A quote from the topic about this:
My real-world schedule has shifted again due to some personal circumstances. Without going too deep into it—my older brother’s been going through a rough patch (medical), and my wife and I have stepped in to help. It’s taken a toll on our time, energy, and finances. We’ve been supporting him and managing his business on top of our own, which has stretched us pretty thin.
This has not gotten better as of right now. But my wife and I have managed pretty well. We have a few others helping now too.

Discussion Bucks is still running but I don't use it for making money. There was another that @Aragon Burner was running but it looks like he's closed it either temporarily or permanently.

Most of the old forums that paid users to post or start topics have either closed or moved to other models like affiliate marketing, crypto communities, or reward-based platforms. A few still pay small amounts for quality posts, reviews, or engagement, usually through points, crypto, or cash out systems rather than direct payment per post.

Yeah it looked like he started one and then started another one to earn money on, but I think that one is gone now too.

Yes, but they're becoming increasingly rare. I miss the days when there were paid forums everywhere.
