Are these graphics cheap for this hosting website?

Some stuff was scribbled out so not to be spam. However, is the setup good? Obviously, it's not a WordPress theme, but does is scare people away? How can it be improved?

I would say yes. It just doesn't look professional or modern enough. It's not only the graphics you have to change but the actual theme of the site as well.

A hosting WordPress theme would solve the problem but they're always at least 40 USD. However, there might be a way polish up the home page a bit, maybe add fancier graphics and better fonts.

Honestly, there is nothing with that theme that makes me want to get hosted with this company. How long has this company been established? Where is the ticket system? What makes your hosting site better than others (like mine)? What is your uptime? How fast am I going to get support? What domains do you offer? What do you use to host my site (linux vs windows)? Do I get a control panel? How do I manage my own site?

I definitely wouldn't see this theme and immediately pay for hosting. Honestly, I would run because if a hosting site owner can't even take enough time to make a decent theme then how am I ever going to get decent support? How am I going to trust that I'm getting what I pay for?

Not only that but the "unlimited" is a gimmick. It is not real. I think I've said this 3 times over the past 24 hours between here and packages. There is no such thing as "unlimited" domains. You shouldn't promise such a thing. Even if you are provided hosting like this, it isn't right to offer this to your clients. I used to offer unlimited hosting on my site but then I realized what I was doing. I was shooting myself in the foot. Why? I can't promise unlimited. I have limits on my VPS therefore the "unlimited" isn't truly "unlimited". Unlimited = no limit. Meaning you are offering me the ability to host a billion subdomains with no rules with this hosting.

I could have 100 domains constantly uploading things to your site constantly and that wouldn't be breaking your rules as you don't have any rules listed in this screenshot.

If you are doing this for the money, don't. There is NO/LITTLE money to be made. There are so many free hosts out there that this is a hopeless cause. I know you have probably been told this before but instead of creating 10 different projects that you can't handle, make 1 or 2 that you can make brilliant and actually make money with.

I mean you have this new hosting site, hostingcompany.xyz, 2 guitar forums, 1 or 2 employment forums, lazyforums.xyz, and all of this. Why? What do you gain by spending all of this money on sites that are not going to succeed? Maybe 1 or 2 are but 99% of these are going to fail and you are going to waste money on them. Be smart with your time and money. Don't waste it.

I'm just giving you the advice I wish someone would have given me back in the day.

EDIT: I forgot to add that Softaculous offers several ticket systems that give you the ability to have a nice ticketting system. They don't have the automation that WHMCS has but they are still good for making a hosting site that is more reputable.

I don't plan on expanding anymore cause I literally don't have anything to eat (not whining just being honest). But the fact nobody is coming is because I don't have the cash for advertising. I'd have to get at least a part-time job to pay for anyone to visit anything and my location (in a rural area) isn't a good spot to get even a dishwashing job.

Basically, my next move is I need to get around 1000 dollars so I can move to a bigger town and get a residence I can be proud of. Second, I could funnel a lot of extra money (from some new employment) toward advertising. But the music stuff is for fun and I could only put ad money toward one or two sites that I really think would do something - and possibly hope for some word-of-mouth for the music, especially the drumming stuff.

Sorry to bore people with personal info, but she brought it up..

Are you saying that you are getting the $1k from your sites or part-time employment? Cause if it is from your sites, that is not going to happen.

TBH, I doubt FP even makes $200/month and if they do most of that goes back into the hosting and maintenance of this place.

Websites are not a place to make money unless you are already well established or you have a unique idea that can make money. Your sites (my sites, too) don't fit either of those.

I highly disagree. Websites that are at least decently designed and with a lot of advertising will probably make money. That's a fact. But obviously, I and you don't have access to the cash to support that type of publicity. That's why our projects are a joke.

Finally, I would add that when SEO was easier (around 2011) I even made 300 to 500 a month (I think, something around there) from employment websites and that was without paid SEO, nor a tremendous amount of effort, other than some link exchanges on DigitalPoint.

No, of course, not that would require at least a fast food job.

BH, I doubt FP even makes $200/month and if they do most of that goes back into the hosting and maintenance of this place.

They haven't tried hard enough, no offense. Possibly they are relying on SEO and social media - so in that case, they're simply not getting enough traffic to be a powerhouse.

What do they have to do? They need to get massive capital to get 10X more visitors than now and then possibly focus on selling a product (but not the selling of banner ads).

Anyway, to keep from derailing the thread. Here are new ones:

Erin is right though. Your site isn't attractive and if I was looking around to buy a product or service and the site looked like that, I'd probably not even spend the time to read what was on there. Just being honest. Design is extremely important.

You probaby have around 3 seconds to make an impression on your visitors. This isn't doing it, so you really need to change that.

You could try something like wix to create a nice looking site for free. https://www.wix.com/ I used to have one for my design portfolio.

Sliders on a free WordPress theme can do wonders and often good photos are for free.
