In the USA, do you feel like they're too strict on traffic laws with speeding tickets?

If that is the case then I hate to think what you guys in USA think about UK and we have so many speeds cameras around

Well there is 50 states all with their own traffic laws. I know here in California the fines on tickets are outrageous! I suppose the good thing is they allow you do traffic school every 18 months. Traffic school pretty much erases the ticket from your record so you wont have to worry about your insurance rates going up or getting any points on your license. So, as long as you only get 1 ticket every year and a half you'll be good to go.

To answer the question, traffic laws are there to protect people so they should be enforced but I do think the fines should be reduced. They are just robbing people blind with the fines. Also there are some cops that will find ANY reason to give you a ticket just because they want to meet their quota or they are just a jerk.

They don't follow their own rules. They go way over speed limit and not in hot pursuit. Also, as a side laugh, they drink soda in the courtroom. I don't know. I suppose we're supposed to respect cops.

O.K., can I bring some movie popcorn to hearing, lol?
