With your staff members, graphic, package, mods, etc. Do you tend to boss them around? Do they tend to tell you are bossy or do you find yourself in the act of being bossy? What do you do to prevent yourself from being bossy?

I try tp say things in such a nice way that they could not possible be offended, I do this 3 times and THEN they get kicked up the ass lol !

As far as I know I'm not. On the contrary I don't really allow any bossiness within my staff.

I am not bossy. I am usually chill, even a little too much at times. I usually ask the other admins/staff what they want to be done.

I am only bossy when we get like spam-attacks or something, other than that I try and be easy.

I'm extremely bossy [:

Nah, I keep my cool. I usually ask you instead of tell you to do something, just one of those small details that can make a difference overall.

yeah. all my staff does everything on their own so really no need to be bossy

Well if my staff aren't working then I ask them politely to work harder, and if they refuse I ask them if they want to continue as a moderator/administrator and explain that having that position requires a certain workload. I give them several more chances to prove themselves, and if that doesn't work I dismiss them.

I usually find fairly creative ways to do it that don't humiliate them too much 🙂 Move them into some sort of VIP group with access to the staff forums, but they don't have any real ''work''.

I'm extremely lenient with staff members, which is probably a bad thing.

I've started making Moderator Guides and stuff like that, so if they don't do their job, I'll just take them off of the team.

Nope. I hardly tell me staff what to do at all. They just know what to do and have fun at the same time!

I used to but then I realized, they are doing everything for free because they care. Now, I ask them to do something and usually they do but most of the time I don't harp on them. I have a very long leash with my mods and it works out very well.

I am not bossy, however, someone does something wrong despite my clear instruction, I would not be very forgiving

I wouldn't say I am bossy at all no. I am pretty laid back when it comes to having staff members and the like and I do have some rules in place for staff members but I never boss them around always giving them jobs to do as I feel that is wrong. With me having staff members on as a voluntary thing I allow them to feel comfortable in their job and do not push them to do things but instead, allow them to make decisions on how they do their job. If I do pick up on something that I am not happy with, I will politely mention it but I will never boss them around.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.. then agian weak

I am bossy when it comes to some things. If I have more experience at doing things, I'll definitely want it my way since I have had the training, education, or whatever.

With other things such as modding on Christianity Haven, I give a lot more freedoms.

I'm not bossy unlike the one I formerly hired last October who left the 2nd time.

I feel there are two types on management styles.

1. Manager - the traditional "bossy" authoritative figure
2. Leader - Lead by example, coach when needed

I think manager is a type of management that is obsolete in most non-militarized occupations

I think being a leader is the way to be, especially to volunteer staff members

I don't know how to be bossy 🙂-

I agree with you, I learned very early how to lead and not be the boss when I got into business.

Not at all, as long as they uphold the TOS and don't abuse the power given to them, i'm pretty laid back.
