With your staff members, graphic, package, mods, etc. Do you tend to boss them around? Do they tend to tell you are bossy or do you find yourself in the act of being bossy? What do you do to prevent yourself from being bossy?
Well if my staff aren't working then I ask them politely to work harder, and if they refuse I ask them if they want to continue as a moderator/administrator and explain that having that position requires a certain workload. I give them several more chances to prove themselves, and if that doesn't work I dismiss them.
I usually find fairly creative ways to do it that don't humiliate them too much 🙂 Move them into some sort of VIP group with access to the staff forums, but they don't have any real ''work''.
I used to but then I realized, they are doing everything for free because they care. Now, I ask them to do something and usually they do but most of the time I don't harp on them. I have a very long leash with my mods and it works out very well.
I wouldn't say I am bossy at all no. I am pretty laid back when it comes to having staff members and the like and I do have some rules in place for staff members but I never boss them around always giving them jobs to do as I feel that is wrong. With me having staff members on as a voluntary thing I allow them to feel comfortable in their job and do not push them to do things but instead, allow them to make decisions on how they do their job. If I do pick up on something that I am not happy with, I will politely mention it but I will never boss them around.
I am bossy when it comes to some things. If I have more experience at doing things, I'll definitely want it my way since I have had the training, education, or whatever.
With other things such as modding on Christianity Haven, I give a lot more freedoms.
