Are you on good terms with both of your parents?

My parents have been divorced for 31 years. I'm on great terms with my mother and her side of the family. I haven't heard from my biological father or his family in 19 years after he disowned me when I was 15 years old.
 
No. My mother has dementia so she has no idea who I am. My father is an asshole, a bigot and a liar. We have a minimal relationship because of my mother, that's it. Once things are settled there my father will learn some things about me that he doesn't tolerate and he'll sever all ties with me. That's fine, I'm ready for that, just need to know I'm living my life when it happens so I don't abandon my mother while she needs me.
 
I've always been fortunate that my parents have been my best friends. We're really close. I talk to my mom daily via at least email & call every so often to talk to my dad who doesn't care for the computer. We see them minimum once a month as it's an hour's drive.
 
The only time me and my parents have ever had a major fallout was when I came out. We stopped talking for a few months due to their beliefs but we sorted things. My mother doesn't always agree with how I am but we live with my parents so things have got better.
 
Yep! We don’t see each other that often, due to scheduling conflicts but I do talk to my mom on the phone at least once a month.
 
Mom died when I was 3 - I imagine we would have had a good relationship. The person I thought was my dad died last June and we didn’t have a relationship. I lived with him from when I was 12-19 and even then it was a rough relationship due to the abuse.

I found out in January I have a different dad but don’t know the full details.

Wow, that's a lot to go through, I'm so sorry you had to deal with all of that!
 
My dad died when I was in high school, but I am on good terms with my mom.
