Are your teachers on FaceBook?

With social media becoming popular, many teachers are on FaceBook and other sites. My school has a policy preventing students from having teachers as "friends" until after the students graduate from school. That doesn't stop FaceBook from suggesting them as friends to me, however 😛

How many teachers do YOU have added? Would you consider adding them if suggest? How does your school handle it?

Yes, my County system is on Facebook, my school Counselors, and my School.

I know that some of my teachers are on facebook, and some of their children are as well.
Wouldn't want to add them though, as I rant about teachers on a daily basis.

I've only got one added on there, our facalty head... he doesn't care about anything so I accepted, otherwise I don't add anyone...

Not a smart thing to add something that you rant about or don't want to find stuff about you or what you have done.

What's the point in them saying you can't add them, they can't exactly stop you anyways.

Yeah, a couple of my old high school teachers are. I'm only friends with one of them, though.

I found our school's secretary on FB the other day... I added her of course. And I found a counselor from middle school whom I also added. I see nothing wrong with adding teacher's or any other faculty members on your FB at alll. The rule about not adding a teacher or whomever until after you graduated is pretty stupid, though.
