Armageddon

This movie is about an asteroid that is about to hit earth. An end of the world situation where the mission to save us from disaster was assigned by NASA to Harry Stamper and his crew of oil drillers. The plan was to send them to the asteroid, drill a hole in it and insert a bomb. When that bomb explodes, that would be the end of the asteroid. Bruce Willis plays the lead role of Harry with able support from Ben Affleck and Liv Taylor.

I don't know why, but normally I hate these sort of films. However, some exceptions are The Road and Melancholia.

Why do I hate these films? For some reason, they don't connect. They don't seem realistic.

I don't mind this movie, with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton as the main stars. Like all things once you seen it you don't want to see it again lol

The star power seems to be a turn-off. Maybe it's cause there are too many of them. For instance, a movie with one star like Shrawzanegger, and one or two lesser known ones (though maybe not completely unknown) seems to be better.
