it doesn't look half bad in my opinion, I like simple templates with not much going on, but this is even too bland for me. Keep on practising and eventaully you'll make a nice one for yourself to use.
 
It looks a little small. Needs to be wider for it to be used!
 
Honestly, it is not messy. But is too basic. I suggest expanding it throughout the whole page and adding some more color.
 
They look very small in width, people nowadays have larger screens and these skins may look a little silly because they are small. The design of the skins looks pretty good, but little features like icons next to text make a big difference.
 
There is nothing wrong with having a fixed width.. In fact i myself prefer that over fluid websites.

I don't think that's what they mean, even as a fixed width it's to small, maybe have a wider fixed width 🙂
