Arts Impact On Our Lives?

I was reading an article about a study taken on people to try and organise interests of scientific areas and Artwork / Material Architecture ranked worst and Technology first.

Do you have any forms of art around your house and what impact does it have on you (If any)?

A well-designed home improves the quality of life I think. Note, even though you cannot afford a yuppie lifestyle, you can create something similar via artwork and I think your overall well-being will improve.

Of course, this all sounds cheesy, but I say, " Why decorate your home shabbily when you don't have to? "

I can agree to a certain extent. Home design and quality does matter but personally having pictures on the walls, canvasses and posters etc. etc. never really rocked my boat when others were a huge fan and it still doesn't 😛

I don't know if I am stepping over the line by putting my two cents into this. I think that my entire life including the way in which I conduct myself both online and offline, the way I see my family, friends and people around me - all these saw a shift after I read a major work of literature - Harry Potter series by JKR.

There are so many ways in which I was influenced that I could write pages on it (maybe I should start a topic on this? 😛). From my own personal experience, I know one thing - art influences the way we see things.
