I doubt it, the earth they are standing on would probably stop that from happening. Also untreated wool wouldn't lead that much.

Seeing as lightsabers don't exist nothing, but if lightsabers give off a lot of heat then the water would probably steam or boil.

I have no idea, you would have to ask the manufacturers. Its probably got something to do with the cold affecting the light system.
