My job consists of a lot of person to person interaction, whether it be by remote or actually standing in person. I think i've learned how to adapt to their situation very well.

I don't think there's a real answer to this. Basically it depends on what you want to get out of life.

I would try to motivate them to get assistance from local programs to try to get back on track. 🙂

I don't think someone should be looked down on in that case. We're all equals.
