We're halfway into summer and it's been so hot I end up indoors 🙁 I can't cope with the heat that well

Do you have air conditioning? I can't live without it. We didn't have it when I was a kid and we slept on the floor where it was cooler, but it was still awful.

UK - we do not. Most homes in the UK are designed and built for winters, as we have far more colder weather and snow. When we hit summer, we might get about a week's worth of warm weather, then get showers.

That being said, the warm weather is getting hotter and hotter, reaching high record limits
