That's the media. 😛 I'm not really sure, honestly. Some people like Ronald Reagan and Calvin Coolidge did a very good job reducing government, as well as leading the country. I think the leadership thing can even go towards people like FDR, Truman, and George Bush, though. Those three men lead the US through a pretty tough time (FDR/Truman was WW2; Bush was the nightmare of terrorist attacks at the beginning of his term).

I think they're kind of dumb. If you live in America, there are some basic laws that you need to follow. That's not to say that you can't make your own town and pretend like you're 9, but you don't "outrank" federal/state governments.
