Ask me anything (zappaDPJ)

If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be and what would you do?
Interesting question 🙂

I think I'd switch lives with a woman, any woman, just to see things from her perspective.

Imagine you could change one event in history. What would it be and how do you think it would impact the present?

I tend to believe that if you went back far enough and made the most minor change we wouldn't recognize the new future.

How different are your online and offline personalities?
I think I'm a little more assertive offline which is probably the opposite to a lot of people. Other than that, pretty much the same.

How many subscription you have
Very few, subscriptions are something I try to avoid. Office 365, Avid Pro Tools and Amazon Prime are the only ones I can think of.

What would be your strategy for getting rescued if you were stranded on a deserted island?

How many guitars do you own and are they acoustic or electric?
Guitars that I use regularly rather than instruments I buy to refurbish and resell currently number around 15 I think. I have 11 six string electric guitars, 1 12 string electric ,1 electric bass, 2 acoustics and a mandola.

Right now I'm having to work in tiny room while my studio is being built...

what guitor you played the most
Probably the only guitar not pictured. I have an old Martin D28 acoustic which I use for practicing (at least an hour a day) and composing.

For recording I normally use a really cheap ($400) but extremely rare Fender Stratocaster that I acquired in 1982. Most guitarists have a guitar they consider their #1 instrument and that one is mine even though its original value was so low.

For live work I usually take at least five guitars depending on what the requirements are but whenever possible I use a custom made Fender Stratocaster because the body is made of swamp ash wood which makes it very light. At my age I really don’t want to be shouldering heavy guitars for 90+ minutes.
