Ask me anything (zappaDPJ)

Who do you think is the most overrated singer and/or band?
Kanye West. Once you strip away the sampling, the featured artists, the additional songwriters, autotune, quantizing and all the other tools studio engineers use these days, there's not a lot left that I would describe as talent.

Who is the lazy person in your family

None of us. We are all the polar opposite of lazy.

not even friends XD
Not that I can think of. Most of my friends work in the music industry and tend to be somewhat driven. In fact most of them are now in their 70s, quite wealthy and yet they still tour relentlessly.

Very much so. Music often verbalizes history and culture. A prime example is music created through spirituality. I'm particularly fond of traditional Irish folk music which is deeply rooted in Ireland's political and social past.

In a room filled with everyone you ever met, alive or dead, who would you look for first?

Stephen Hawking. He's not someone I've actually been introduced to but many years ago I was sat next to him for a while. I didn't know who he was until later.

If you could revisit any day in your life, just to experience it again without changing a thing, which day would you choose?

I had a front row seat at a Rolling Stones concert in the early to mid 70's. The memory of it has faded somewhat and I didn't really appreciate it as much as I should have so I'd love to revisit that day but don't tell my partner 😀
