Being hit with a ruler by a sadistic nun at school for no reason.
Makita. I bought a Makita rechargeable drill and a spare battery in the early 80's which I only recently replaced with another Makita. I have quite a number of their cordless tools and never had an issue. They do the job, the batteries are interchangeable and they are built to last so I've never even considered buying anything else.
