So M-Retro has a very rocky story to it. It originally went under the name Blue Bulletin, until the community there had died out. The site was too general and I needed to find a niche. So, I naturally started a gaming forum. M-Retro was born. It went on for quite a few years and had good success with a solid userbase, until the free host that hosted us was bought out by Tapatalk. They didn't let me back up my forum and forced their Tapatalk board down my throat. All the work I had done was gone. So I went looking for other options. That being a temporary M-Retro Revival, Retromod. However the damage was done, my users left. ProBoards that hosted Retromod didn't have the flexibility and customization I was looking for. That's when I needed to host my own site. Now I'm here. I started a website called Net-Chan. The name of that comes from obviously boards inspired it such as 4chan and Futaba Channel, however, I dislike the toxicity and anonymyity of those sites, but love the general board topics. So I wanted to start my own forum based Gaming & Anime Discussion board. Boom. That's the story.
1. I joined FP in 2014 to promote my then forum at the time, M-Retro.
2. Came up with it while trying to make an edgy username for a game called PlanetSide 2 in 2012. I mashed em together cuz it sounded cool and it stuck all these years.
Ask me anything! I'm a musician in a band working on our debut album, an indie game developer, in college completing my bachelors degree in Information Systems, and recently engaged to my girlfriend of 3 years! 🙂
I'm from the State of Oregon. It's on the West Coast of the United States, above California.
Story behind my username is I wanted something cool for PlanetSide 2 when I signed up for that game in 2012. I chose this, and nobody else had it really on any other platform. So I chose it. It's unique.
