Bwuhaha! This looks like fun, so I'm starting one.

I've gone by this name since 2006.

I was signing up to an anime forum, had just watched the anime Macross Plus and wanted to use something different than my old moniker. The AI in Macross Plus is called Sharon Apple. She's a singer and I'm a soprano myself, so it's part of the reason that I liked it... even if she's a meanie.

I went with Shannon because I lived next to a river by that name at the time. It was all thought up in the space of 10 seconds. I had used a whole lot of different usernames that year to sign up to a lot of different sites. I kept going back to the one where I used this UN and so, this is the name I kept only because everyone knew me by it after a time.
 
Perhaps there are things that I wished turned out differently in my life, but I don't really wish to be more than I am, if that makes sense. No one is perfect and I definitely don't strive to be. I just try to be the best version of myself that I can be. ^^
 
Maybe 😛 sounds like you are an green apple person?
 
@Migi: Haha! I liked Mumei, and besides it is the last anime that I actually completed. This is while it was airing. I have attempted to watch others, but put on hold. Just been too busy with uni to dedicate the time to watch anything new at the moment.

We have lots of staff team members who watch way more anime than I ever did, so all good XD.

Haha, I see. Well, it's not like I didn't like Mumei. I guess she was fine as a character; your typical tsundere heroine who got used by someone she trusted. The series simply lost the steam from early on. When it ended, I was more relieved than sad. At least we got good music from the series, sigh.

Nowadays I simply don't have the motivation to watch any new anime. There are sequels to series I loved before, but I just can't bring myself to check them out, I wonder why. Even though I got time. XD

Mumei was 12 years old, so I guess she wasn't mature enough to not get used. At least that's how I look at it. 🙂 She was just acting her age. A lot of anime make kids out to be much more mature than they should be, so it was kinda cool that Kabaneri showed her dumb immature side as well.

It's common enough. I sometimes find it hard to bring myself back. I had a Crunchyroll subscription for a few years and didn't watch many shows at all. I was giving the 48 hour passes to young kids who couldn't buy membership lol and they were delighted, but unsure why I bothered paying for it myself. XD. There are people on the forum who have been part of the community for a long long time and they no longer watch anime and haven't for years.

I feel the same about books as well. I have a shelf full of books to read and I lost the motivation. I love some of those authors, but I just keep thinking "ugh, the effort" or "ugh, I have other things to do." lol

So you basically tempted them to watch while you don't even watch it yourself. XD Anime gospel is always good! Keep it up! XD With internet nowadays, though, why do you still need to pay for membership to view those things? Other than for legal reasons, I guess. 😛

Ah no, they're kids. Just gave them a nice legal way of watching anime, in HD and a day before it goes up anywhere else. Kids love the novelty of being able to get premium and see new episodes as they come out. haha!

Meh, I quite enjoyed watching stuff in HD and ad free. Also, supporting the industry. At 5 euro a month, it's very little and by watching on those sites with all of their ads, it's helping unscrupulous people make money. Not saying that I've never done it though, since sometimes there isn't a choice if you really want to see something XD. Haha, on the forum, we never allowed people to discuss WHERE they watch their stuff unless it was at one of a list of legal sites. Same with the new site. We try to be supportive of the industry. Our members don't have to lol, they're just not allowed to name drop aka advertise the illegal spots.
