A member of my forum (Mario Forums) showed it to me after googleing places to advertise. After a few months I decided to apply for the RT, and later the PT, and just recently I was promoted to leader 🙂

I do! I'm just trying to figure out how a forum filled with everyone promoting their forums can benefit anyone? How does me posting a forum here get me exposure? 99% of the members here are wanting to promote their own forums, not join mine. Just a thought.

Off topic from the topic but I'd like to add because we aren't just here to promote. Most people are webmasters here and some people just come to get ideas and posts! Myself, I didn't have anything to advertise for a while. I just help out and check out people's website. Key thing: Stand out 🙂

This is so true. I'd even go as far as to say that a majority of the active members here don't have websites.

I'm pretty good at snagging good domains before they're hot. I own iwatchhacks.com, googleglassfans.com, weartec.com, and a bunch others 🙂

Webmaster skills? SelfScreens is a HEAVY modification of a WordPress template from ThemeForest. I've never done any real web programming. I just don't have the patience to do something that I can have someone else do for me.

I never have actually. SelfScreens is the first time I've seen one of my sites grow exponentially so I'm doing everything I can to publicize it and get it to grow before the launch of all of the hot wearables.
