You're not going to be attacked for your beliefs if that's what you mean. But you will probably be quizzed and questioned.
We really would like it to be a community of not just atheists but also bright theists who can hold their own in debate.
Our first forum rule is as follows.
Civility
We believe that civility is important but we recognise that debating certain types of individual can be stressful; We also recognise that many young people struggle with faith and we want to encourage them ... AHC tries to strike a sensible balance and, whilst tolerating some outbursts, will sometimes have to act in the interests of the wider community. AHC will take a dim view of those ranting and raving like loons and take the basic stance that it is harder to hold the high moral ground and that the message gets lost in rants so we recommend that you don’t! Whilst some can be very frustrating we do not consider it acceptable to launch tirades of personal abuse at fellow members (especially without rhyme or reason) and if, on balance, we believe that's all you're capable of we will act. Sometimes it can be difficult to approach situations so rationally and, when faced with the possibility of stress-inducing exchanges, members are advised to step back, think and try to cool down before posting (a good way is often to write the post in a document, save it, a revisit it an hour or so later) ... ultimately it's better not to post something you'll later come to regret.

-- 17 Aug 2010, 02:05 --

Apparently it has a nice 'steampunk' feel, whatever that is 😕
Anyway, come along and join the fun of a new site just emerging into a bright new life. Atheists and theists alike :great:
lol steampunk is a setting around the steam power era with some fantasy or more advanced technology... 😛 No idea how that is supposed to describe a forum 😛. Arcanum is a perfect example of it though 😛.
And anyway nice board, might sign up sometime soon, I'm agnostic so I'm sure I'll fit into the community 🙂.
