I end up dropping giant lists on people's faces in topics about AtomBB, so I'll just drop a link here for the featurelist. Responsiveness has come a long way since that page was last updated though.

The responsive design covers small mobiles, mobiles, tablets, standard displays, and it even has optimisations for UHD displays (it never hurts to have some future-proofing).

Additionally, I just deployed the second default theme (Cosmo) to the site.

Is this a free software or a paid software like Xenforo is?

It is very interesting, simple and fast, can I get a copy of this forum software?

Free open source software.

There's a build from a year ago that's up. Alpha 2 should come out fairly soon, mainly need the upgrader, as someone will probably run this on a live site and end up stuck on Alpha 2 forever otherwise.

For any other builds, I will have to note that you shouldn't run it on a live site.

That was going to be my next question was how long has this software been around?

It's been in development for a few years or so. The first alpha came out early in 2014. The second alpha should come out when the upgrader is completed (as some people might use it on live sites) which will hopefully be sometime soon.<br /><br />-- 15 Mar 2015, 19:45 --<br /><br />We just added a Menu Manager to the Control Panel. The main menu now uses said system.
The Subscribe / Unsubscribe options were added to the Topic Context Widget, and many many bugs were squashed.

I've honestly never heard of this software before, but if the site is ran off of AtomBB itself then it's definitely a refreshing oldschool feeling forum platform. 🙂

May even use it on a future project.

What's the user said systems? Is that where you tag a person when replying to their post or how does that work?

I've added the ability to have custom content on your profiles, inspired by the User Page feature that wikis commonly have. An example of this is on my profile on atombb.com for instance.

I also added some 3D effects to the navbar, and the navbar now follows you around when you scroll down (might need a setting to disable this) on browsers that support this feature (Ah, CSS3..).

What do you mean by user said systems?

As far as mentions are concerned, you can type @Azareal for instance, and it'll link to my profile along with the proper username markup and it'll add a new alert to my alert list (the bell) telling me that this has happened.

You also get alerts when someone replies to your topic or one you're subscribed to. Same when someone upvotes one of your posts.

Looks good. I just hate the fading. Makes each new page/post load extremely slow.

So basically it's like a free version of Xenforo then?

Not really a fan of the Ajax loading. It's pretty disorienting in my opinion. 😛

I have now implemented the News Feed Layout Feature which is a per-forum setting that lets you specialize specific forums for a more news oriented goal like delivering announcements and provides you with a more appropriate layout to achieve this with.

You can see this in action in the Announcements Forum on atombb.com (it changes the topic layout and the topiclist layout for it).
Here's an example of a topic with it: http://atombb.com/thread.php?tid=437
You can see how this contrasts with the regular layout in the other forums.

The goal is for it to be more future-proof and relevant than XenForo (at the very least, in their current form, no one has any ideas what their major version will look like).
It's my vision of what a forum should be, especially in this day and age.

It makes the transitions between pages feel very fast and smooth for me.
What browser are you using? Are you using a Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Mobile? Is it recent? Is it low end?

I'll look into some possible ways to improve it.
