I have two announcements for SMF users. 1. If you have SEO4SMF installed, uninstall it. There is a Sql inject vulnerability in it, and the developers of it closed down production, so most likely SEO will never be updated again, since it was an unofficial (off-site) MOD.
2. I have recently become a SMF Doc writer. If there is something that you don't fully understand about SMF after reading http://docs.simplemachines.org , post here and I will see about it being added.
Yes indeed, it has a security (sql inject) vulnerability, so don't use it. The site it was being developed on has closed down. As the MOD was never an official SMF MOD (3rd party MOD), it hardly effects any users.
Just released 15 minutes ago: http://www.simplemachines.org/community ... pic=293556
The new default theme. SMF has been using the same default theme for a long time. This new theme looks close to the one of the community, and has dropdown menus, for ease of use.
