This is the view from our apartment we’ve rented for the week, looking out at the Sky Tower. At 328 metres (about 1,076 ft), it’s the tallest structure in New Zealand and the most recognizable landmark in the city.
You can go up to observation decks for panoramic views, dine in a rotating restaurant, or even do a controlled jump from the top. If you’re not familiar with Auckland, it’s similar to a city icon like Seattle’s Space Needle.
