I have a website and I would like to ensure that it is backed up properly. I am on limited internet and therefore cannot download the entire website. ...Especially often, as often as I would want backups.
So, I was curious, is there a website that automatically backs your website up to their server or cloud or something?
I would also prefer it to be.. cheap. 🙂

Thank you for your help!

More likely than not, your host already does nightly offsite backups. It may be worth asking about though. I'm pretty sure you can also do a cron job with mysqldump and send it to another location, but I'm not really sure how to do that off the top of my head.

Is your hosting account on a cPanel server?

Yes. 🙂
I've got a host on direct panel too, but I will most likely be moving it to the one on cpanel.

As pandaa mentioned, any reputable host would be doing nightly offsite backups. But if you want more control over your backup situation you may want to look at siteautobackup.com. We have a few clients that use it as they don't want to be dependent on our nightly backups (which is understandable).

Yeah, sorry. I get it mixed with cPanel and call it direct panel.
Its DirectAdmin.

Thanks for the site. That's quite a bit more expensive than I figured it would be, but if my site ever gets super important it would be worth it. I'll look into whether my host does nightly backups or not.

I used to do a cron, actually.

If you're willing to spend more, you could try out R1Soft. However, do you have access to the server?
