Ok I went to the avatar configuration page, and checked "enable avatar gallery"
Then I went to my file manager & uploaded the avatars I made for my users to pick from, wasnt sure where to put them so I put them in the main /avatar folder, as well as the /avatar/gallery folder, since that made logical sence... HOWEVER, when I go to user control panel, profile, edit avatar, and click "display gallery" nothing shows up...... What have I done wrong? Where do I put the avatars I made so that the users can pick from them?
Although i have ours here in another folders for the topic such as cartoon so the path to my actual images are images/avatars/gallery/cartoon and images/avatars/gallery/random so maybe start a new directory in there then put the images in rather then in the images/avatars/gallery directory
ok I looked but didnt see an option to create a new directory, while viewing the existing directories... does it need to be created somewhere else? all I see is "upload file" sorry for all the questions...
What are you using? Ftp? If so what program? Are you using a filemanager? If so what one are you using?
It is hard to say how to do it with these details as it is like me telling you where the power button on your tv is without even seeing it or knowing the make of your tv.
I don't think any hosts allow you access to the avatars directory and the gallery directory... How are you uploading these images then? Through your acp?
yeah, going to admin control panel, then file manager, then there's an /avatar directory, and inside the /avatar directory is a /gallery directory. I put them in the /avatar directory and the /avatar/gallery directory in the file manager just to see which worked an neither worked... for now I just took the quick route & posted the avatars in a thread for users to save & then upload as there own... will work for now I guess.
Is your host freepowerboards.com? If so i will set up a test forum and test it to see what it is like as i don't have a clue what their acp looks like.
