Avatar is returning to cinema screens on 27th of this month with 'over 8', yes 8 minutes of new footage. They feel it is neccesary to re-release the entire film at the cinema for just 'over 8' minutes rather than do what EVERY OTHER FILM has ever done and have it as BONUS material on the DVD extras. What a con. Just trying to rape more money out of everyone. I for sure won't be seeing it again.

They'll get they're comeuppance because people will release the 8 minutes on YouTube and on pirate DVDs; and I for one think it's pointless as well, like Cloverfield said, an extra on the DVD would be better but in all fairness they are already selling the DVDs so in a way it's they're only options but then again, they'd be releasing Avatar 2: The 8 Minutes After DVD which would be confusing.
