When was the last time you had a back ache? What did you do to cause it?

I rode with my husband on his motorcycle the day before yesterday and all day yesterday and even today my lower back is hurting so much. I can barely move. Do you guys have any suggestions on how I can relieve the pain?

The last backache I had was when I we were moving into our new apartment, as you could imagine. 😛

I just slept it off, by the time we were done moving (we loaded and unloaded a 16ft truck all in 6 hours with only me and my dad) it was time for bed so I really didn't care what happened at that point, I was just tired. 😛

My back hurts on a pretty regular basis. It started after I had my son. His labor and delivery was extremely hard and obnoxious, he was very stubborn. Ever since then I've had back problems. It doesn't help that my seven month old is about 20 pounds now. She's in constant need of cuddles and holding, picking up, etc. So yeah, my back hurts all the time lol

I just feel so paralyzed... every time I move it feels like I'm about to pull a muscle. 🙁

I threw my back out when I was about 18-19 years old. Luckily, once I got through that, I haven't had any problems since then. I do however get occasional minor back pains but I think that is due to the way I sleep.

My back hurts all the time, especially when I'm laying in my bed.

I used to play the bass drum in the marching band and I think that helped mess my back up a little bit and that's part of the reason it hurts alot.

I'd recommend buying a good supporting pillow (especially if you can get a good memory foam one). I do not get backaches much, I just do not generally have many pains and sores, thankfully. xD

My back is FINALLY starting to feel better. I pretty much stayed in bed all day yesterday and before I went to bed I took a long hot shower. (As hot as I could stand!) My lower back is still a little sore but at least I no longer feel paralyzed.

Yesterday! I work as a server, so lifting trays with 6 - 8 dinner plates on it gets very heavy. And it puts a lot of strain on my back.

Do you do anything in particular for the pain or do you just ride it out?

I generally just tend to ride out the pain.

I usually only have back pain from standing up all day, I usually feel like my back just needs a little more support sometimes. 😛 I think it all matters on the shoes! Because with some shoes I'm fine. I usually just lay down a bit once I get home and it fixes itself. 😛

Last week. I think I chose the wrong position to play games on my laptop for 12 hours straight 😛

Sleeping on the floor, a really hard bed, or sleeping long periods of time on the road can give me horrible pains in my back.
