A lot of people despise her. However, she did heavily inspire some Beatles and John Lennon tunes. Anyway, do you feel she deserved the heat? Honestly, and I know this sounds PC and not cool with some people, but I think she was the victim of subliminal racism.

I have a similar topic running on one of my forums right now, almost certainly influenced by the release of The Beatles new old song 'Now and Then'.

I have a very eclectic taste in music which ranges from the progressive, though ambient to classical. I've also worked with other musicians who have taxed my abilities and understanding of what they are trying to achieve to the limit. I would really struggle to work with Yoko Ono because even though I'm familiar with most of her output, I find it almost impossible to relate to.

She's often criticized for contributing to the breakup of The Beatles which may or may not be true but I never considered there might be a racial element to people's obvious dislike of her. It wouldn't surprise me though.

A couple of days ago a UK news outlet listed her top 20 songs which prompted me to revisit every song listed and I still don't get it. What's strange is she has a really beautiful speaking voice and she's not tone deaf but for some reason she chooses to warble/screech most of the time rather than sing. The song listed at number one being a prime example.

Another conspiracy theory with Lennon was that he was responsible for Stu Sutcliffe's death. They had gotten into a fight and he got a good beating by Lennon - who was a tough guy type. Anyway, Sutcliffe got a brain hemorrhage.
