Tis the season to be busy... Not right, I know. HOWEVER, the staff and myself have been working on coming up with several events to help keep you busy throughout this festive season! With a variety of prizes available to be won over different categories, I hope you all have an excellent time. 🙂
Secret Santa!
First up on our list of events, we are hosting a secret Santa event! as22 Anyone is allowed to participate as well! All you need to do is send me a PM saying what you will be getting your secret Santa and I'll add you to the list of participants!
What gifts will work? Well, be creative about this. You can do posts/threads/blog posts/comments on someone's forum, give small amounts of real cash, give FP, make an avatar/signature, buy FP services for someone (if you go this route, PM me and we can make some deals as9 ), and really anything you can think of. If it's not listed here, I'll discuss it with Joshua if its really off the wall but most things should be approved.
On December 20th, everyone will be PM'ed there Secret Santa and you will have until December 28th to fulfill your side of the program. If someone doesn't follow through, we can discuss what happens when we get to this although I'd hope no one would not follow through!

Scavenger Hunt!
Management here at Forum Promotion will be hosting a 12 days of the season Scavenger Hunt. Starting on December 16th and running to December 28th, an image will be placed around both the blog and the forums anywhere from a blog post to the guideline topics to stickies, etc. It won't be placed somewhere no one would ever find it so you don't have to worry about that.
Prizes will vary from day to day and they will be about the same value (free services, staff affiliates, etc) until the final day. On the final day, the picture will be hidden 3 times and each person who finds one will get $5.
Everyone is eligible to win up to 3 times before not being able to participate anymore. However, even if you max out, everyone will be able to look for the final day cash prize pictures.
In order to win, you must be the first to send a PM to [user]M[/user] with a link to where you found it. Winners will be announced at 12AM Eastern time and the next object will be hidden at this time as well. When winners are announced is when prizes will be announced. s1

What's that Picture and Captioning!
During the 12 days of the season, each day we will be posting a blurred image where you have to guess what the picture is. We will also have a picture where you must caption it and the best caption will be voted on by a small panel of staff (most likely management). The winners of each contest daily will receive 150 FP each.
The last day of this contest will be a bit different. The prizes will be $5 to the winner of each contest. In order to be eligible for the $5 contest, you must have participated in at least two previous days of the caption contest/what's this picture.
A separate pinned topic in Intellectual Discussion will be posted with the pictures so stay tuned!
Costume Contest!
Forum Promotion will be hosting a costume contest! In order to participate, you must send me a PM with the free name change you want (the name must be in accordance with the season, regular name changes will still cost FP). After you do this, you must set up your account to be dressed up like your name change!
For example, if someone goes as Jack Frost, an avatar of Jack Frost would be appropriate. The more in depth you take your account, the more likely your costume will be picked. If you place number 1 on December 28th, you will receive $10! Costumes will be judged by Mastera, Joshua Farrell, and myself.
Forum/Blog/Website Decoration Contest!
So, it's recently come up that we have gotten way to far from our roots. I agree to an extent and it's something we are heavily discussing. In the meantime, we want to focus one of our contests on the people who keep FP alive - those who own a website/blog/forum.
In this contest, you will enter your website/blog/forum to be voted on which the staff here at FP feel is the most decorated for the holidays. This can be anything from a special theme to snow to lights to whatever your hearts desire!
All you need to do is send a link and screenshot with a brief description of how your site is getting into the holidays in a PM to me and on December 28th, a winner will be announced. The winner will receive $15!
First place winners will be the only ones to receive a real cash prize. However, second and third will receive consolation prizes to be announced at a later date. If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to send me a PM and I'll be happy to answer them. If you do not support these events, keep your opinions to yourself and don't participate. If you have ideas for future events (can be for anything), send me a PM and I'll look into honoring it somehow (this goes for other holidays not normally covered).
