Ban Porn

Among other things.

America was founded on the foundation of freedom, so taking away our porn would be like destroying our Founding Fathers' entire intention of creating this country.

No one FORCES you to watch porn. You are not straped into a chair with your eyes forced open to watch porn. It is your choice to even be online. It is your choice to view porn or not, no one forces you. If you have a problem with it, just don't visit the sites! If your into it, good for you, watch it! The government should not be sticking their noses into our online business. If this were before the internet time, would they ban pron magazines too? 😛

I agree 110% with what was said here! You are NOT forced at all to watch it.

If you ban it, you might see an increase in people cheating on their significant others. I have a couple of friends who are always complaining that they're wives won't give them any. They of course brag about their "collections" or discuss various porn stars frequently. I would say they're probably the best candidates for cheaters that I could possibly know.

Keep in mind that it's not actually possible for a country to ban part of the Internet... Italy has the Pirate Bay banned yet people who live there and use the USA based OpenDNS system can still access and use the site... so bare that in mind. It would cost them extreme amounts of money to put "blocking" software into place, and as we've seen thanks to the pirates, unblocking things is so easy a 5th grader can do it.

No, it shouldn't. People have a right to look at what they want and you do have the choice to not look at it.

I think porn being so readily available to men is a bad thing for women..

Men end up seeing women who often times are very attractive to them. When you put that sort of expectation on a woman who you know personally... she might fall short in judgment. That is one argument.

Another argument is that it creates a sexual outlet for men and also women to channel their raw sexual urges in a way that is safer and more responsible.

Teehee, that sounds like a porno in itself.

I think that porn websites need to be monitored more. A lot of users under 18 can get in with no problem.

Eh, so what. That's what child blocks are for.

What can they do to monitor them? They do all that's legally possible, they ask if you are 18.

A lot of kids under age can get beer as well... and a lot of under age kids can become fathers.

Well, Really that's like saying should they should ban video games (which some had tried) because they promote violence. Wrong they only promote violence to those who cannot make reality from Video games. So really the government needs to take a chill pill or just jump off the ledge.

But Raymond, these people have realized that they can't ban games for violence anymore (at least in the states), so they're going for sexual themes now. Parents are fine with their kids decapitating people and running over grandmas with lawn mowers in video games, but 1 pair of boobs and fox news's phone lines are flooded.

If it is illegal for 16 and 17 year old teenagers to watch porn, but legal for them to have sex themselves, are they not allowed to look down or something?

I personally think both laws should coincide with each other.

To put it frankly, Porn probably leads to masturbation most of the time, which is harmless - Whereas sex leads to STDs, Teenage pregnancies and more.

Side Note: LOL@ people who are 17 and under talking about porn.
At the age of 14,15,16, even 17 you have little knowledge of porn or how to conceive it.
Since at this point in time of your life you're not learning about everything in detail about how the internet works and how our government functions.
Well then, share more of the mighty knowledge of porn you get once you reach the magical age of 18. Adults know pretty much the same about the internet as teens due to most people using it for the same time as teens, and younger minds learn quicker. Unless you work in the industry I don't see how you'd know more.
