Something very weird. I wonder how much disk space & bandwidth forumpromotion takes per month. For some reason im using only a forum & my disk space is at 300mb+
It was something like 200mb+ yesterday but within a day it goes 300mb+
I also remember my bandwidth was 1000mb+ within 1-2 weeks.
Our disk space usuage currently is 792.69mb and so far this month our BW usage is 2001.94mb. Last month as BW usage was 24.61 Gig.
In cpanel you can check "Disk Space Usage" which shows you where you are using most space. The logs (tmp/analog, tmp/webalizer & tmp/awstats) take up most space. Between them all, they use about 300mb. It sometimes is good to clean the older logs if you need space.
In terms of Bandwidth, Using Gzip compression can help slightly although it increases cpu usage which can cause issues when your forums bigger. Optimising images can help. Disabling avatar uploads to your server and/or attachments. Host as many images as possible on external sites (can cause a problem is that other site is not accessible). Forcing search bots to use a more basic style can help aswell.
If you want to lower bandwidth usage then you can do a few things such as blocking bots that you don't want to visit such a Cuill or Majestic12. Some people like to block them along with others like Baidu.

I see that inside my "disk space usage"
My Home directory took 200MB & my public_html directory took 100MB so it total sum up to 300MB
if i delete all the other folders & directory beside the public_html will it affect the site in any way? or cause it to function not property?
Hmm i'm more then positive that my hosting account only have this forum. & the mod that took the most space is the "arcade" which took up 90MB
my forum stats is only at 2.5k post & not even half as populr as FP & the disk & bandwidth is already like this. I'm just afraid that when it acutally goes to the popular time it will go to like 1GB easily & i'm trying to leave it as low as possible.
Ahhh... The arcade kind of explains it. That can cause alot of bandwidth usage as well especially if it is visible to guests. The games can be quite big size wise and can mount up to use alot of Bandwidth. Make sure guests and bots can't view it or play it. Also as you said it takes up alot of space aswell.
The bots will use up bandwidth when they view anything. You can block bots via the robots.txt file but you should look to keep them as they index your site in search engines. If you block them, your site and content won't be indexed by the bots you block.
If you get to the point you are worrying about bandwidth enough to consider blocking bots and doing everything possible to reduce BW usage to stay under your limit then you should really look to upgrade your hosting package so you have more BW to use.
If you really want to cut down on BW usage i recommend removing the arcade as that will use up more and more bandwidth as your site grows bigger and bigger.
Bots won't take up any space on your server. They will use bandwidth though. Some bots are more active. Google and Yahoo are very active here and index alot more pages then other bots. Everytime a bot visits a page, it will use bandwidth (same as if a human were to view a webpage) In the case of this forum, the Google and Yahoo bots use alot of bandwidth while other bots like Baidu use not much. It is all down to how many pages they view.
The more diskspace you use does affect the speed. The speed of the site is depending on the users location, the servers location, the server specs, the amount of load on the server, your internet speed and other factors.
