Banned from adsense? Sue google, and win

Fantastic!

It's good to know that companies can't get away with screwing their customers!

Really interesting article, thanks for the share. Definitely worth the read.

The guy makes reference to US laws, so does anyone know if anything similar stands with UK laws? I myself have never had the joy of having an Adsense account disabled by Google, although it would be nice to know I had something to fall back on should it ever happen.

Needless to say Google will discretely update their ToS without even a whisper of posting it anywhere. In the end, as TWA said it's nice to know the every day user has some power against a giant Corp such as Google.

I made about $150 from them and they suspended my account for no good reason. I filed an appeal and they still denied me. -roll- You know whats funny, googles corporate offices in Mountain View California is only a short drive away for me and so is the Palo Alto court house. If I earned over $700, I would probably do what that guy did but I dont think $150 is worth all the trouble. Google does this to just about all their customers, I dont know how they get away with it.

So you lost your $150 and din't plan to argue with them?

Well I filed an appeal but I still got rejected. I should drive down to their corporate offices and yell at the receptionist at the front desk.. That might make me feel a little better. -razz-

Google has a reputation of doing that. The count on sites going under before they ever reach the $100 threshold to get paid. Then when it actually happens they say the site owner clicked their own links and then don't pay them.

Can anyone recommend another good ad server?

Wow, first off I understand everyone's fury, though do you not understand AdSense's rules?

1) Have a valid and updated TOS and Privacy Policy on YOUR site! If you have an advertiser complain about that, they will ban your account.

2) Do not even think about clicking your own links, at all, it's just stupidity.

Those are the two main guidelines you have to follow besides the already known: no pornography, etc.

Lets see once i started with Friday Night Cranks and designed all their stuff and am best friends with the guy they have been getting more popular by the week! Especially their YouTube stuff.

So far the totals from Google go up like this: Jan (129) Feb (601) March (1200) and we are at like 1400 right now.

Luckily I have not had any problems with getting paid. I do not get paid a lot, but each time I reach the next $100 level the money gets automatically deposited into my account without problems.

Yeah, :O I had totally forgot they had added that feature! Thanks for reminding me, it takes forever for the check to reach my house! 😀

Wow! I was like, "Gosh, another fake story" until I read it. It makes sense and I saw it on sevral sites along the interwebz.

A great read and a laugh at te end. ~lol~

Lol that's actually quite funny. Its funny to see Google take such a hit like this especially from one person.
