what the difference between a logo and a banner

The size normaly is the diffference.

and a logo would represent the company it would be the companys main "image" if you like where a banner for example would represent a website or forum only. Say for instance you had 2 forums and 2 websites. Each forum and website would have the logo on. Where as each forum and website would probably have a different banner.

I did but i wanted a change but i thought i am just wasting their time so i made my own 1 and can u tell me what do u use to make a banner

Well mostly all of our team use Photoshop either CS2 or CS3, and one member (Killa) uses GIMP which is free.

Just do a search for GIMP on Google.
