Banners in signature lines

I'd like to start using a banner linked to my forum in my signature line as advertising. Not just talking about this forum specifically but other forums where I'm posting. Do you think banners in signature lines are appropriate? Do they attract more traffic/members than text links in signature lines? Just wondering your point of view on the issue.

Banners in signature links are fine for me.

I own a forum and I allow people to have banner ads in their signatures.

I allow members to do it. Most forums that allow it I will upload a small banner as my signature.

I do not see the harm in it as long as it is appropriate for the forum.

I allow banners in signature but only if they are certain sizes. If another member has to scroll to get away from a banner, then something is not right lol. Jordan's banner would be a perfect size to use on my communities 🙂
