Barebone Forums: An Introduction

Hello everyone!

I've been inactive for a good while, but I'm back and ready to tell you all about my latest project.

I have teamed up with the incredibly talented Alfredo Garcia to create an open-source forum platform like no other. We plan to keep things as simple as possible. We will only be implementing the core features that make a forum; a forum. However, the software will be highly customisable. We will be introducing an extensive plugins and theming system. Installing both plugins and themes will require just a sole click.

The platform is called Barebone Forums. You can follow our progress on Github (don't forget to star and watch!).

We hope you are all as excited as we are.

Hopefully some things that can add onto the base but keep things simple. I'm thinking social connect tools as a start.

Alfredo and I decided to make the source code private until release. In 5-6 weeks, we'll be entering a private beta phase. If you're interested in testing for us, shoot me a PM. 🙂
