First Impressions: (10 out of 15)
First looking at your forum, I was impressed that the forum had a nicer pleasing look than previous forums I have seen. The issue I do have with a first visit, is the green buttons that are there to login or register. I feel like these two items detract from the color scheme, even though the basic minimalist theme is appealing and loads quickly.
A quick glace over the forum index, tells me that the forum isn't receiving many topics or replies. I know you just started it, but I feel like it could gain better in terms of activity and membership, if a little bit more involvement was done in bringing more fresh topics and replies.
I noticed also the blog option, and like the idea of a place for students to write a little bit about being a student, and whatever will help fellow members and other students out in their daily lives at school.
If you are content to keeping a 18+ board, I would suggest making that board only accessible by those who are 18+, by possibly adding a adult group only for that board.
Site Structure: (13 out of 15)
I don't see any potential issues with how your boards are setup, as that is probably how I probably would set them up, for the type of forum you have decided to run. If I were to make a board suggestion, I would probably suggest one for those who participate in sports while in school, so that they can get advice on how to better approach certain events while training, or participating in those sporting programs.
Design Quality: (7 out of 15)
Firstly, if you can do it, I would suggest getting custom icons for each board. Something basically that will match the topic of each board, and isn't any larger than 25x25 pixels. This will help further identify what each board is about, by allowing a visual aid to the name. I would also suggest investing in getting a second theme that is a little bit darker, for those who cannot see stuff with a white/bright background glaring at them. You will end up eventually with people who have issues with the bright theme.
Originality: (10 out of 15)
I do not see many forums based around students, and those forums I have seen, do not last as long as they could, due to neglect of the admin. So I suggest that you try to keep yourself and any potential staff you get, to keep the place updated with fresh content (replying to topics, and making a few topics per week), as that will help ground a forum like yours, for years to come.
Overall Mark: (40 out of 60)
My final remarks would be to do less procrastinating on fresh content, to find a way to provide a darker version of your current theme, and to add icons for each board, so that people need to worry less about any potential confusion between some of the boards on your forum.
Good luck, and I hope you are able to get the forum established!
