It would also be great to get feedback from the members here as well as they see it from a members point of view.

Features:
We do take donation that help in the financial running of the site but this is not required. Donating members get the Premium badge plus the use of the Media Gallery and an extra forum area.

We also have a few groups that members join if they are interested in those forum areas, you do need to be registered to see these groups.


We try and cover all aspects of interest to our forum members in our different forum areas.

First Impressions:
So right from the get go, I have this box that says Random Media. But even before that, I have a cookie notification box as well. While I can understand the cookie box, the Random Media seems out of place, in your face, and doesn't really look good. A better place would be to have this on a different page, or as a small section of the sidebar. For the cookie banner, it would be better to put it at the top so it's not intrusive. For my overall first impression aesthetically, I just feel the look is too straight forward and isn't that enticing for me, but that could be the colors.

Site Structure:
While the forums descriptions are to the point, they're exactly the same as the forums names which is something I don't like. To me, it comes off as the easy way out in informing a member what they an expect within a specific forum, and normally the forum description can be used to be a precursor to any specific rules or guidelines, or just to have a way to express that forum's purpose. I would really recommend that you work on some good forum descriptions because that is something I really look for. For the Media link as I addressed with the Random Media, you could easily add a link that would take you to the Random Media display rather than displaying it at the top. Also, the This & That category name doesn't tell me what this category holds forum wise. This & That isn't that descriptive and so I would perhaps look at a combination of all that names that would allow you to convey a more enticing image.

Overall Mark:

Your forum does have some strong points that I didn't mention in this review, particularly your statistics. I mention this in all my reviews and I will continue to stress that aesthetics will take precedence over numbers or features. If it doesn't look good or work right, it's sad but most people will not take a second look. Yaketys has some great potential, so I'd like to see you work on these points I mentioned and look at requesting a more indepth review in the future. 🙂​
