It's an insult that the Movie preview site will lose this. Meowse's site is intentionally bad, I think. It seems that way from the funny copyright at the bottom.
I hope this competition isn't just about popularity of the members on here. You shouldn't vote for Meowse just because she's a former admin who a lot of people know.

It's meant to be light-hearted and humorous in nature but it's hardly what I would call an intentionally bad site. I can only speak for myself but I did not vote for her due to any other reason other then I liked the site and enjoyed my time there. If anything her site reminds me a bit of Maddox's site http://maddox.xmission.com/ which I also enjoy visiting when he puts up new content while Lady Meowsepad has her own brand of humor that shines on the pages of her site as I have to admit I got a laugh out of that used car ad on Craigslist she linked to just recently.

Thank you for that, Bluezone. While I didn't really have Maddox in mind when I made the site, I guess that his site did have some influence on it. Another site, WTFMan, had quite an influence on my site. It was a pretty nice site back in the day full of regular guys being themselves and sharing their love for games and other neat things.
Thanks for your feedback. Bluezone summed it up pretty well, but I would disagree with him on one detail: the appearance is intentionally bad. However, I believe that the content of my site is actually rather useful, at least to some people. The site itself is commentary on the state of the Internet in general today. The centralization of the Internet in recent years has changed the entire dynamic of its content and caused, for me at least, a good amount of disillusionment. Many sites today also emphasize sexy graphics and flashy scripts rather than content that is useful or makes you smile.
I also believe that my status as a former admin and my history here is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. I'm hardly beloved on this forum.

The way it looked to me, he was equating the appearance of the site as evidence that the site in its entirety is "intentionally bad" which I do not agree with if that is the case. You know, speaking of its appearance I quite like the way it looks. You might have intended to make it look bad but I actually think it looks nice to me. It really speaks to me that this site owner believes that their content is their selling point and not anything else which is why appearance is so downgraded as if to make a point of highlighting the quality of the content much like how the light of a flashlight looks brighter when turned on in total darkness as opposed to it being turned on in a well lit room. At least that's what I think.
