i personally don't want to see it even now that its out on dvd, i think,
i heard it was pretty bad, and i understand because the movie is based off a board game that has no story line to it

I can't say it's good, but it's not that bad either. The animation effect is nice, been a while since I like the effects like this since Transformers. Actors are good. Music too is well done. My main concern will be the plot which is rather strange near the end. And because the topic of "alien invasion" is overused.
It is subjective, after all, and that's what I think. 😛

It was a nice action movie with great visuals but there was no logic in it. Which of course is typical for any or most of the American movies.
The aliens just had 2 main weapons? I mean really?

And what they fire that sucks itself in the object it hit and then goes boom.
There communications device crashed in the movie due to hitting the satellite orbiting the earth.
In a real situation the aliens would see any objects coming in them in space and evade it. What species would fly blind in space? :roll:
A real alien invasion to be honest wouldn't result in a victory on our side. :sad:

Fantastic film with stunning visual effects. Very fun film to watch. I recently purchased the limited edition steel book Blu ray version.
I found it interesting, but it was alright. I think the plot could have been developed more. It became rather obvious on what would happen next. It's not common for writers to make the alien race win, so you could sort of work backwards on what Hopper would do next. But I think the visual effects were a nice touch, most of it was CGI, so it didn't feel raw enough or believable enough, but I guess that's the best they can do.
